MUltichoice adds to its DStv options in Portuguese

On June 11, MultiChoice Africa, in partnership with THEMA, launched one more channel in Portuguese: TCV – Cape Verde Television.

This public service channel is broadcasted from the archipelago of Cape Verde in order to strengthen its national identity and forge a closer bond with the Cape Verdean diaspora. The channel’s line-up includes a wide range of shows, such as TV news, sports, culture, music, entertainment, series, and children’s programmes.

According to Nico Meyer, CEO of MultiChoice Africa, “This channel is one more example of MultiChoice’s commitment to offer its subscribers a large volume of content in Portuguese, but it also serves to help Cape Verdeans living abroad to remain in touch with their country’s culture.”

The TCV channel is being launched on MultiChoice’s platform through a partnership between MultiChoice and THEMA, which holds TCV’s distribution copyrights.
