C MUSIC TV Scoops Awards Hat-Trick

C Music TV has returned from a victorious trip to Venice where it had the honour of being named Best Music Channel at the Eutelsat TV Awards 2012. Also shortlisted in the Best Music Channel category by the jury of experts from international publications and television associations, were Viva Polska from Poland and La-minor from Russia.

The awards are a unique international event recognising excellence in thematic broadcasting amongst more than 4,400 television channels broadcasting on Eutelsat satellites to 200 million cable and satellite homes across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

C Music TV, which specialises in classical, cinematic and chill-out music, won the award for its ground breaking take on the music channel format. This is the channel’s third award at the event following Best Music Channel winner in 2008 and the Jury’s Special Award in 2009.

C Music TV launched in 2008 and now has paid carriage distribution in over 100 countries, on 6 satellites across Europe and Africa. The classical, cinematic and chill-out music-video channel carries no adverts and is represented by THEMA, a distributor of 60 international television channels. The channel is a unique fusion of classical music in a pop channel format which mixes classical music and opera with film soundtracks as well as short-form interviews and live performances filmed in-house. The channel showcases the world’s finest artists and introduces new audiences to this inspiring and beautiful genre.
