A new launch for the TV channels BARAEM TV and JCC with SKY Italy
THEMA which is the exclusive agent for the worldwide distribution of Al Jazeera Children's Channel (JCC) and BARAEM TV, is pleased to announce a new launch on the Italian Market with SKY Italy (DTH plateform).
COMING TO SKY:
"AL JAZEERA CHILDREN’S CHANNEL" AND "BARAEM TV"
Two Arabic language channels dedicated to children’s programming - SKY Channels 690 and 691 - will be available on cable TV beginning June 1st
"AL JAZEERA CHILDREN’S CHANNEL" "BARAEM TV"
Two channels dedicated to Arabic-speaking families living in Italy will join the 18 other children's channels and be accessible to everyone in the Sky “600” section
The SKY platform, whose intention is offering total information and entertainment, will be adding two channels for Arabic-speaking audiences: Al Jazeera Children’s Channel on Channel 690, and BARAEM TV, on Channel 691.
Since its very beginning, Sky has reserved a considerable part of its platform to Arabic-speaking viewers, with channels including Al Jazeera. Starting June 1st two channels will be launched in SKY’s 600 range, offering Arabian children residing in our country a chance to continue to relate to their cultural and linguistic roots - thus keeping their identity alive - while being entertained.
Al Jazeera Children’s Channel (JCC), on Channel 690, is edutainment channel, located in Education City, close to Doha.
Through a number of self-produced programs, the aim of Al Jazeera Children's Channel is to help children get to know and appreciate different cultures and environments.
Al Jazeera Children’s Channel is the first channel to produce themed magazines in Arabic dedicated to different subjects: science, technology, sports and well-being, as well as a vast selection of cartoons and Arabian TV series.
These launches represent a big new opportunity to open up to new cultural horizons, starting with the youngest audiences.
BARAEM TV, Channel 691, is the first preschool Arabian TV station, targeting children between 3 and 6 years of age, and offering a number of programs designed for this age group.
It’s a sort of ‘training’ where preschool children will be playing and learning the Arabic alphabet, numbers, colours, nursery rhymes and lullabies.
BARAEM TV programming is carefully devised for the youngest viewers, as well as for their parents, through simple and cheerful games. Its aim is also to help new mothers relate to their children in the best possible way, with suggestions about bedtime or other delicate moments in a baby’s day.
